Available Scholarships

This scholarship is offered on a competitive basis to eligible fresh high school graduates who wish to enroll in an undergraduate program at HBMSU in the same academic year of high school graduation. Eligible applicants must meet HBMSU admission requirements and achieve a minimum high school average of 90%.

The scholarship may cover up to 100% for eligible applicants, subject to the approved criteria, availability, and continuation requirements. Awardees are required to maintain continuous active enrolment and a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00. Changing the program or low CGPA will result in discontinuation of the scholarship.

HBMSU recognizes outstanding academic performance through semester-based tuition remission opportunities. 

  • New undergraduate learners – Eligibility: Minimum 90% high school average | Tuition Remission: 10% 
  • Continuing undergraduate learners – Eligibility: Minimum semester GPA of 3.80/4.00 | Tuition Remission: 10% for the following semester 
  • New Master learners – Eligibility: Minimum Bachelor CGPA of 3.60/4.00 or equivalent | Tuition Remission: 10% 
  • Continuing Master learners – Eligibility: Minimum semester GPA of 3.80/4.00 | Tuition Remission: 10% for the following semester 
  • Continuing PhD learners – Eligibility: Minimum semester GPA of 3.80/4.00 | Tuition Remission: 10% for the following semester, not applicable for dissertation 

These scholarships may be combined with other applicable discounts up to a maximum total of 20%, where applicable. Transferred learners are excluded from the new learner semester-based scholarship. Summer semester is not included in the semester-based scholarship scheme. 

Learners may be eligible for a 10% tuition remission if they, their parents, or their spouse, are employees of approved government, semi-government organization listed by HBMSU.

Learners should check with the Registration Unit to confirm whether their organization is included in the approved HBMSU partner list.

Applications must be submitted through the scholarship service with the employment letter of the learner or parent or spouse.

HBMSU alumni who join any master program at the University may be eligible for a 10% tuition remission.

This discount supports HBMSU graduates who wish to continue their academic journey and pursue master studies with the University.

Learners holding an ESAAD or FAZAA card, or one of their eligible family members, may receive a 20% tuition remission for the first semester of study only.

Learners and their first-degree relatives may be eligible for a 10% tuition remission.

Eligible People of Determination may receive a 20% tuition remission

Learners from Hatta City may be eligible for a 20% tuition remission, subject to CDA confirmation and applicable university procedures. 

Important Terms & Conditions

Scholarship and discount requests must be submitted during the approved enrolment/registration period of the Fall and Spring semesters. Discounts should only be applied during this period. 

All required supporting documents must be submitted before the scholarship, grant, or discount is awarded, and in line with the published deadlines. 

Learners receiving scholarships may be subject to academic performance monitoring between Registration and the learner’s advisor. Continuation of some scholarships may depend on maintaining the required academic standing or CGPA. 

Learners sponsored by government bodies, public organizations, private organizations, or individuals must submit an official sponsorship letter addressed to the University Registrar.

Sponsored learners are responsible for paying any fees not covered by the sponsorship letter. Discounts are not granted to sponsored learners. 

Repeated courses are not covered by scholarships or discounts. The cost related to repeated courses will be added to the learner’s financial statement three weeks from the start of each semester. 

All scholarships and discounts are subject to eligibility, availability, approval, and applicable university policies. Exceptions to scholarships and discounts are reviewed and approved through the relevant university approval channels.

Merit-Based Scholarships

It is a competitive scholarship for eligible new high school graduates who want to join an undergraduate program at HBMSU in the same academic year they graduate from high school.

Eligible fresh high school graduates may apply if they meet HBMSU admission rules and have a high school average of at least 90%.

You must stay actively enrolled and keep a CGPA of at least 2.50 out of 4.00.

Changing your academic program may stop the scholarship.

Academic Excellence Semester-Based Scholarships

It is a tuition fee discount for learners with strong academic performance.

Yes. New undergraduate learners may get a 10% discount if their high school average is at least 90%.

Yes. Continuing undergraduate learners may get a 10% discount for the next semester if their semester GPA is at least 3.80 out of 4.00.

Yes. New master learners may get a 10% discount if their bachelor CGPA is at least 3.60 out of 4.00, or equivalent.

It is a 10% tuition fee discount for eligible learners linked to approved government or semi-government partners listed by HBMSU.

You may be eligible if you, your parent, or your spouse works for an approved government or semi-government organization listed by HBMSU.
