Level 7 CBMC in Healthcare Information and Statistics
Overview
Applied Foundation in Health Data Science and Informatics
This graduate micro-credential program delivers an applied foundation in health data science and informatics through three integrated 3-credit courses—PUBH603 Principles of Biostatistics, PUBH616 Data Analytics, and HOSP618 Health Informatics. Learners practice data management, analysis, and visualization; apply core biostatistics (e.g., descriptive measures, inference, hypothesis testing, power & sample size, regression); and explore digital health systems including EHRs, clinical decision support, and analytics, with attention to ethics, privacy, and security. By completion, participants can design appropriate studies, prepare and analyze health data, and translate insights into data-driven improvements in public health research, healthcare delivery, and policy.
