Overview

This Level 6 micro-credential delivers advanced competencies in sustainable agricultural systems and food security, addressing the UAE's unique challenges of arid climate, water scarcity, and import dependency.

Learners will engage with advanced climate modeling, policy analysis, and practical adaptation planning aligned with the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative and the outcomes of COP28 hosted in the UAE. 

Learners will explore cutting-edge technologies including controlled environment agriculture, aquaponics, and precision farming, while critically analyzing the UAE National Food Security Strategy 2051 and its implementation across emirates. 

The program emphasizes systems thinking, research skills, and the ability to design resilient food systems that contribute to the UAE's food self-sufficiency goals, preparing graduates for leadership roles in the rapidly evolving agri-food sector.
